“Sab Kuch Milega”. It means “You’ll get everything”. It’s a popular Hindi saying in India, especially with backpackers. They often have it emblazoned all over their t-shirts.
It really is possible to get everything in India though. It’s not always available, but it is possible!
This is one of the things that really appeals to me about India — no matter what happens or what you need, you’ll find someone nearby to conveniently fix it or provide it.
Shoe broken? There’s a chappal-wallah who sits just across the road, and who will glue and stitch it back together while you wait.
Electrical problem? Go and grab the electrician from one of the small shops in the street outside the apartment building. Cost: 40 rupees ($1).
Need a top taken in or stitching repaired? There’s a tailor who sits with his sowing machine right below our apartment building. Cost: 10 rupees (25 cents).
Need to by a plant, or some fruit? Sellers roam the neighbourhood with their hand-pulled wooden carts and bicycles laden with produce.
I finally had to take my laptop in for virus removal the other day. It was full of all sorts of nasty things, and wasn’t working. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t get rid of them. I thought I’d have to get my laptop reformatted. Instead, the technician handed my computer back to me in a few hours all clean. Cost: only 250 rupees ($10).
India does function surprisingly well at times!

Mumbai is still considered expensive for the same work in some other urban cities & i am not talking about metro cities..
