Relaxed from a Massage at Antara Spa

When the tension of city living gets too much, I find that one of the best ways to restore my body to a relaxed state is get a good massage. Unfortunately, I’m usually not generous enough to myself to have one regularly. Or, I get caught up with work and daily life, and never make the time.

However, when visiting a luxury day spa IS for work, how can I refuse?

One of the benefits of my job, being responsible for About.com’s India Travel website, is that I often receive invitations to visit at hotels and other places of tourist interest, and write about them. (I still have trouble believing that I’ve been blessed with a job I love so much — not for the freebies but because I’m no longer stuck in an accounting office, and I get to spend my days writing about India travel).

Yesterday I was fortunate to receive a complementary massage at Antara Spa, in Andheri West. Antara Spa is part of The Club Mumbai, a members only lifestyle club, but it’s open to the general public. I had the Antara Signature Massage, which is a combination of Swedish and aromatherapy techniques.

It was just what I needed. Bliss!! So blissful in fact that I couldn’t motivate myself to do anything work related for the rest of the day. It completely put me in chill mode. The treatments on offer at Antara Spa are reasonably priced for a luxury spa too. It could be just the reason I need to get a massage more often!

Anyone who’s interested in more information can read my review of Antara Spa here.
