Recently, I became tired of feeling like I should be wearing more, and bigger, jewellery in India. When someone told me that my nose ring was way to small (I’ve worn a tiny diamond in my nose since I got it pierced nearly four years ago), I decided to treat myself to a new one.
I was inspired by the nose ring that a friend was wearing, which was an actual ring set with a row of small diamonds. I found a similar one that I liked at a store called Cygnus, in Raghuleela Mall, Kandivali West.
The unusual thing in India is that they allow you to try on earrings, and even nose rings, before buying them. No concerns about hygiene here at all! I felt really dirty standing in a fine jewellery store with my finger jammed up my nose, trying to get the nose ring in properly!
I wore it when I visited my in-laws on the weekend. The verdict? They noticed it immediately and loved it. I’m still getting used to it, but am really happy with it.
