Cute little monkeys, all lined up in a row on Ram Jhula in Rishikesh. I don’t think so! Especially you on the far right. Yes, you with the baby.
Okay, I probably shouldn’t have laughed when your baby fell off the bridge and got stuck on the walkway. But it wasn’t my fault that it fell right in front of me. And it certainly wasn’t nice of you to run up behind me and bite me on the back of the leg. Not nice at all. In fact, it was very sneaky of you since I wasn’t looking your way. I know you were just being protective of the baby, but I wasn’t even touching it.
The bite gave me a huge surprise. No wonder I screamed. However, I hope I gave you an equally big surprise when I turned around and kicked you hard in return. Yes, we certainly did glare at each other after that.
I may have temporarily gotten even with you but it wasn’t the end of the matter. Oh no! Because of your uncivilised biting, I had to make three trips to the hospital to get rabies injections. Not one injection, but three! All into the muscle. And you know how much it cost me? More than 1,800 rupees. I could’ve bought three dresses with that money. Or some jewellery. Or even had a massage. At least the doctor was every bit as sweet as what you weren’t though!
