There’s nothing like the monsoon to bring out the difficulty of living in India. For me, the roof above the dining room is leaking. The floor gets covered in water, and it won’t be fixed for another week because the guy is going to his village for a wedding. I’m concerned that the legs of my solid wood dining table will start to rot, because it’s too big to move. For my maid, the roof of her house is leaking too. Except it’s the roof above her whole house. And her whole floor gets covered in water…
