My nephew isn’t a little baby anymore! In a couple of weeks, he’ll be 10 months old. He’s already so strong and active, and can’t wait to get moving properly….

Given the lack of space in Mumbai, one thing that surprises me about where we’re living is how little people utilise their rooftop terraces. Day after day, the rows of surrounding terraces remain neglected, empty, and devoid of cheer. I can’t believe the potential that is going to waste. Not our terrace though. I’m thrilled to have so much outdoor space all to myself, and am determined to make the most of it….

Friends have told me so many times in the past week that I look tired. They’ve been wondering what’s wrong with me. Unfortunately, I’ve been feeling just as exhausted as I look. I don’t feel like I’m coping very well with India at the moment. So this afternoon, in an attempt to regain some peace of mind, I bundled myself into a rickshaw and headed to the Mindspace garden behind InOrbit Mall in Malad….

Sadly, there’s no such thing as a “weekend” in Mumbai. The majority of people work six days a week, with only Sundays off. Now that I work from home and actually do have job that interests me, it’s rare that I have a work free day. I often find myself getting obsessed with work, and can’t switch off from it. It’s not good at all. So, I’ve resolved to spend more time on creative pursuits to ease the tension….

It’s Sunday, so what do the people of Bombay like to do? Head to the beach! Juhu and Girgaum (Marine Drive) Chowpatty are the most popular ones. Going to the beach in India isn’t like going to the beach in the West though….
